What's Your Monday Motivation?

Mondays can be rough. Some rougher than others. We've all got coping mechanisms to help us get through. Mine can change week to week. Sometimes it's 4 cups of coffee (not necessarily recommended), sometimes it's a mid-day nap. Sometimes, it's both.

Mondays are totally crazy for me. Whereas every other day is filled with hours at our Old City studio, Monday evenings are much different, filled with 5 consecutive hours of teaching ballet in NJ. I usually begin the day at 6am for a round of morning classes and end the day at 10PM in Mount Holly NJ. IT's a long one, and it's one that I definitely need a little pick-me-up in order to keep my energy where it needs to be! #mondaymotivationfeels are strong RN.

This week my Monday motivation is brought to you by Poke Bowl in Northern Liberties. Aside from being totally beautiful (look at it, it's really almost too pretty to eat), it's totally delicious and they've got amazing options for carnivores and vegetarians alike.

Their portions are reasonable. It's nutrient dense food, so a small is totally appropriate for lunch and a large is totally appropriate for dinner.

POKE (pō-kay)

Where does this "poke bowl" concept come from? The beautiful land of Hawaii of course (no wonder these things are so pretty!). It's basically a deconstructed sushi salad, and while it's becoming super trendy on our mainland it has been a staple of Hawaiian cuisine for centuries!

Luckily for us, new age poke bowls can contain awesome additions like quinoa, kale and zucchini noodles! Mine had tuna, salmon, seaweed salad, scallion, salt, sesame seeds, shoyu, tomato, cucumbers, radish, avocado, tobiko, and wasabi cream.

It was AMAZING. Go ahead and treat yourself- it's #motivationmonday
